The Fairfax 1 is the most affordable in the collection. Named Best Hybrid many years running by Wirecutter its built around a lightweight Series 1 aluminum frame and a sturdy CrMo fork and comes with a 3×7-speed Shimano drivetrain, Tektro mechanical disc brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.
SERIES 2 AND SERIES 1 FRAME
Series 2 frames feature a 6061 aluminum frame with disc brake mounts, integrated headsets, internal cable routing, and fender and rack mounts. Series 1 frames also feature 6061 aluminum tubing, disc brake mounts, and fender and rack mounts.

Disc brakes on all Fairfax models provide smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance.
